A lot of religions don't actually celebrate christmas like:

• Muslims.

• Jews.

• Buddhists.

• Hindus.

• And a few Fundamentalist Christians.

Muslims believe in the birth of Jesus but do not mark the occasion as a holiday. Nevertheless, Muslims respect jesus righteous prophet of god.

Third world countries are undeveloped countries and are largely dependent on advanced countries. These countries are mostly Africa, Asia, Oceania, and Latin America. They are poor, less technologically advanced with high rate of illiteracy.

Logging is when Lumber Jacks go to forest and cuts down trees to make building materials and fences  and maintenance. Illegal logging is usually called timber caused by the Timber Mafia. Logs are shipped to China and Asia and Korea. Lumber Jacks get their logs from all over the northern hemisphere and they are cut down.

Batman Arkham Origins 

Batman Arkham Origins is an amazing fun game that Batman fans will enjoy because your Batman!

The game has gone back to Batman's early years as being the Caped Crusader. Black Mask has broken out of Blackgate Prison and has released everyone in the prison. He has hired 8 assassins to kill Batman for 50 000 dollars.

The main character is of course BATMAN! His secret identity is the genius billionaire Bruce Wayne.

This awesome game is on a console: PS3, Xbox 360, PS4 and Xbox One. It was released on the 25th of October.

The 12 Hour Relay Disaster

There was a massive crack and a reverberating boom as a flying space ship came down upon us. The giant ship fired and a laser beam came down and vaporized some guy in Miro. Everyone screamed in terror as more and more ships came and then everyone stopped screaming as they looked up to the sky in horror as they saw the mother ship coming and then the mother ship shot down this gigantic laser beam and it was like an alien version of a nuke. People ran away as fast as they could only one jumped into a fridge and then he was only person who survived.

Russell was hungry.

Russell's stomach made strange noises and he didn't know what was happening. Russell went to the toilet to see if that was the problem but his stomach still made strange noises. Then he walked to kitchen and got a drink to see if it would stop his stomach from making strange noises, he waited but then he heard it again. 'What could be wrong with mt stomach!' he screamed in his head. Russell sat down and started doing what he does best thinking about stuff. He sat there and sat there and then he found out what was wrong eh was HUNGRY so he ate some bacon.

Mandarin lesson

This week at school we are learning different languages. The year 8 students have been split into 2 groups to learn a different language. The languages are Mandarin and sign language I am learning Mandarin. I learnt the numbers 1 to 10 in Mandarin.

My Favorite Day In The Holidays

My favorite day in the holidays was when my oldest sister came home from Aukland. She wanted to walk my two dogs every day and it was annoying because I wanted to play on my PS3. When we got home we went on my PS3 and I started playing Assassin's Creed and my sister got mad because she wanted to play Black Ops 2 and she's 20 years old so she's pretty violent and a team killer. When my mum got home my sister ran to her and told her that I wouldn't let her play Black Ops 2 and then my mum told me to stop being mean and let my sister play bots on Black Ops 2.

S4 Care For Younger Children

One day after school I went to my mothers work called The Tot Spot in Greerton. When I got there I couldn't find anything to do and I remembered one of my homework challenges which was care for younger children. So I decided to read them a story which was Were Going On A Bear Hunt. I sat down and grabbed the book and started reading to some younger children. When I finished reading the book I took the children outside to learn the moves of the book e.g. pretending to splash through the stream, and going through the long wavy grass. We used the gardens and the sand pits as different areas in the book. The children really enjoyed it and I ended up doing it a few times because the children wanted to do it again and again.

E3 Visit an exhibition and review it

On Sunday 7th of July I went to an art exhibition with my mum. When we went there we saw an exhibit called Corrugations by New Zealand sculptor Jeff Thomson. The material he used was Corrugated Iron that he molded, shaped, cut, and printed on. The art I saw were pretty good but my favorite was a bird on a mail box. He also made a car, a house, and a dog these were also pretty cool. There was a video about how he made the pieces of art. It was boring but I had enjoyed more than I thought and it didn't take a long time.

P6 Walk or Run Around the Waikareao Estuary or Any Other Walkway

Sunday 7th of July I walked around the Waikareao Estuary with my mum for the first time. It was very boring and it took a long time lucky I didn't bring my dogs or it would have took longer. The walk is a mixture of walking through the bush and on the boardwalk through the marshy bits of the estuary. I was glad to get back to the car because then I can go home and play Black Ops 2.

Morning Blog Post

Yesterday me and 4 other year 8's had to spend the day at Mr Mossip's class. We had to spend our day there because we didn't pay for the production even though it was only 10 dollars. During our day we had to watch a YouTube clip about a french man walking on a wire cross the Twin Towers. It wasn't a fun thing to watch it was a bit boring and I didn't understand them quite well. The french dude has skills but he said in the video that he was frozen to death. When they were in 1 of the Twin Towers to set up his equipment with some other they had to hide from a guard for a long time so that was pretty boring. The french dude crossed the Twin Towers in the year 1974.

G2 Formel Meal Number 3

On the second of July I made my final meal for my family. I made mashed potatoes with baked beans and sausages for my main and jelly with yogurt and sprinkles for dessert. I didn't have an entree because it was only me and my mum at home and we don't usually do entrees and I forgot. Nothing took a long time to cook and it was only a last minute meal because my mum was working late.

Feedback: It was a nice surprise to have tea made again tonight. Cole you did a really good job mashing the potatoes - they were not too lumpy and nice and buttery. You were very careful with the frying pan and didn't burn yourself as the sausages spat as they cooked. Dessert was delicious! well done Cole!

G2 Formal Meal Number 2

A while ago I can't really remember when but I did my second formal meal for my family. It wasn't one of my favorite dishes but it still tasted good. The chicken took awhile to cook and I think it was because of the sauce but when I ate the chicken it was nice, soft, and slimy :P. My favorite part of this meal was the mashed potatoes but I think the onions ruined it a little because I don't like lumpy bits in my mashed potatoes. The entree was nice and a bit chilly and the grapes were squishy. I loved the dessert which was cheesecake it was yum crumbly and cold after being in the fridge longer than an hour.

Feedback: The Entree was nice and refreshing, a nice light start to the meal, followed by a filling main meal of chicken chasseur, the chicken was cooked perfectly and fell off the bone when I placed my fork into it. Unlike Cole I liked the onions so I didn't mind the lumpy bits. Desert was my favorite part of the meal, cheesecake being my favorite desert, the biscuit base perfectly crumbly and the filling nice and cheesy, a perfect way to finish the meal.

A Bad Product

Once I bought a game called Borderlands 2 it looked really cool and heaps of people said it was a good game. When I got home I put the disk in my PS3 and started playing it. Borderlands 2 sucked and it was a waste of my money. One day I invited Hugh to come round to my house and he wanted to play Borderlands 2 which wasn't good because I didn't like that game. We started playing it and it was actually better than when I played it by my self so I found out that playing Borderlands 2 was better playing it with another person. I can't play Borderlands 2 with another anymore because I only have one remote.

A5 Research Rimu

The Rimu, 'Dacrydium Cupressinum' is a native NZ coniferous tree That can live fro more than 1000 years. It is a slow growing tree that can grow up to 50m high and is found in the North Island, South Island, and Stewart Island, particularly the west coast of South Island. Rimu was historically one of the main sources of wood for NZ, and used to make furniture, Weatherboards, flooring & doors. The government does not allow Rimu trees to be cut down in public forests, only limited trees can be cut on private land, however the wood is still used to make furniture and housing. Maori used to use the leaves in the rimu tree in vapour baths, and the wood was used to make weapons such as spears.
Rimu is the best tree in the school because it is a cool tree and it represents the best house in the school.

Cross Country

On the 24th of June our school had cross country. We ran in years like year 7 girls went first, then year 7 boys, then year 8 girls, and finally year 8 boys. When it time for the year 8 boys I ran with my friend we ran one lap then we didn't run a lot on the last lap and I got placed 256. When we had to run around to the finish line the rest of Rimu told us to run so we jogged slowly and then I stopped to pull up my socks.

Computer Game

One computer game I have played is Star Wars the Old Republic. At the start you get to choose who you want to be from a different range of options. After you choose who you want to be you start out on a ship that's been attacked. Then this guy comes in to your room and gives you orders e.g. get dressed. He asks you to follow him to the escape pods to save some important female Jedi you choose from 2 or 3 options e.g. No my life is more important than hers, or fine I guess I can help her for a while. Later the girl is nowhere to seen you get knocked out but you made it to the escape pods which is good. When you wake up you are on this planet were the escape pod had landed. You meet this guy who had saved your life then you can go rome around the planet. While you enjoy your free roming you will run into a few things  and you choose your respons, if you choose a respons thats a bit dark you will slowly turn over to the dark side which I always do.

My Parents Job

My mum works at a kindergarden in Greerton. She teaches ages 3-5 and she works with 2 other people. I'v been a few times and I don't like going there because the kids are weird. Every day when my mum comes home I ask her ow has been and she always says boring so it's obvious she hates her job.

My dad works at the Tauranga City Council. His job at the council is to check peoples plans of making houses and buildings to see if its ok to build it. He gets payed a lot of money so I basically try to get him to buy me something and its usually a chocolate bar.

My Argument With My Sister

"What are you doing!?!" I yelled at my sister.
"I'm killing aliens," she replied.
"Well stop killing aliens and revive me quick!" I yelled back at her.
"Hold on I'm busy with this alien that is armor and as a really strong gun and stop yelling at me!" she yelled.
"Well just run away and find me and revive me and it's called a shotgun!" I yelled back.
"I can't just run away he'll follow me and why do you want me rivive you so badly?" asked my sister.
"Oh I don't know maybe so I don't die!" I yelled.
"Fine I'll come find you and rivive you," she said.
"Oh it's to late now I'm dead thanks for the help," I said.

Book Review 3

A while ago finished reading the third book of the How To Train Your dragon series called How To Speak  dragonese. Its a good book and halfway through the middle it has a dictionary of how to speak dragonese. Hiccup, Toothless, and Fishlegs were riding the sea in there little boat called The Hopeful Puffin it leaks, its slow, and it just goes around in donuts. They accidentally aboard a roman ship and Fishlegs starts a little distraction and Hiccup goes to find the roman plan to take over the vikings and make them slaves. Later on Hiccup gets trapped and is put in a dungeon. In that dungeon he meets a Bog-Burglar called Camacazi. Hiccup, Camacazi, and fishlegs have tried Camacazi's many attempts to escape but they always fail. Hiccup is hopping for his dad to come and save him but he never did until it was all over. The leaders of the romans are two nasty people one fat one skinny and at the end we get a surprise guest you want to know who it is you'll have to read the book.

It was a very enjoyable book and loved learning to speak dragonese and really want to read the rest of the series.

Free Writing

The Virus

squeeeak went the door to a bar I got my gun held up and my torch underneath. I was looking everywhere and it was clear.
"Come in it's clear," I said to my homies.
"Ok so why are we at a deserted bar?" asked my mum.
"To get suplies," replied my dad.
"At a bar. What are we looking for a bottle of beer?" asked my mum with sarcasm.
"I wish," said my sister Taylor trying to cool.
"Is this a really good time to be funny?" I asked.
"Calm down," replied Taylor.
"No we might get attacked and maybe bitten," I replied.
"He is right you know," said my dad trying to stop this little argument.
"Ok Taylor just go behind the counter and get some suplies," told my dad.
"Ok," replied Taylor.
She went behind the counter and knelt down to find some suplies. 
 "Look out it's a Zombie!" I yelled.
BANG went my dad's gun headshot straight at the zombie. The zombie fell and my sister screamed.
"Arrrgghh," went two more zombies.
"Don't shoot you'll attract even more zombie they may be deadish but they have very good hearing. Dad you should know because we watched The Walking Dead before all this happened," I told my dad.

The Weekend

On saturday I went to my dad's house. We went to United Video and two games and one movie for a brake. We got The Lord Of The Rings War In The North,  Injustice Gods Among Us, and Resident Evil Retribution. The frist game we played was The Lord Of The Rings, we could choose our character out of Farin champion of Erebor he is a dwarf, Andrial spell caster she is an elf, and Eredan devious ranger he is human. I chose the Farin because dwarves are beast and my dad chose Eredan he would have chose Andrial if she was a boy. It was a really fun fantasy game and you don't have missions you have quests. In the first quest we got to kill goblins and two trolls there were more than one part of the quest there were at least three parts of the quest. The second quest had to kill zombies and rock throwing ghosts, the third quest had to kill orcs and ice trolls. My dwarf had really beast strong armor and a beast sword with a shield so I wouldn't get shot by archers. My dad had two swords cool leather armor and a beast leather hood.

We had a brake had a dinner and watched Resident Evil Retribution. We had pie and peas and gravy. Resident Evil Retribution was really cool.

The we played Injustice Gods Among Us it was an arcade game created by the creator of Mortel Kombat. I beat my dad heaps of times he only beat me twice lol.

Book Review 2

I have just finished read the 10th book of the series How to Train your Dragon: How to Seize a Dragons jewel. Continuing from the 9th book Hiccup is an outcast and is left alone with his two dragons Toothless and Windwaker being hunted by both human and dragon. Every one who stood up for Hiccup is against the evil king Alvin the Treacherous and his mother the witch and are now slaves. From all the attacks from the dragon rebellion the only place left was the dragon's graveyard prison Darkheart. Hiccup and the king are searching for the dragon jewel, the only thing that can save them from the dragon rebellion. Hiccup isn't only looking for the dragon jewel he is also looking for his best friend Fishlegs who mysteriously disappeared.

This was a really good book and I love how it continues from the 9th book and I also loved all the mysteries this will give you.
