Massive Fertiliser Blast In Texas

A Texas fertiliser has exploded and injured more than 100 people and killing an unknown number of people. The explosion exploded just before 8pm. It was so big that the earthquake people recorded it as a magnitude 2.1 seismic event and could be heard 100km away. It damaged other buildings and authorities say it killed people but they don't know how many. Authorities are evacuating are homes.

My opinion is that I would not want to be near the explosion and I want to know what set it off.

Argument Over World's Smallest Park

Britain and America are arguing of who has the worlds smallest park. One in Portland and its 0.6 meters long The Guinness Book Of World Records says the park is the smallest. One in England theirs is 4.5 meters long and they think that portlans park isn't a park at all. This is England's world smallest park. This is Portland's world smallest park. My opinion is that I don't think these parks aren't parks at all.

G2 Formal Meal Number 1

On the 8th of April I did my first meal for my family. It took a while for my main to cook but it did cook. To start we had Garlic bread, followed by minced beef curry. Cutting the onions made my eyes water but they were better when the onions were cooking. For dessert I had made a jelly during the day and we had this with Eskimo Pie ice-creams. This helped to cool down our mouth! So here is the menu and the feedback. Time for feedback Really enjoyed our meal tonight Cole. The garlic Bread was crisp and garlicky and the spices in the curry were really good! You did a great job of the rice - not too sticky and not too hard. The ice-cream was great for cooling us down. Well done - we loved it!

Giant Snail Swamp Florida

The state of Florida in America is being swarmed by Giant Snails. In the past few weeks 1000 of the giant snails have been found in the Miami-Cade Country area. It is a African ground snail and its as big as a rat and can damage building as it chews on plaster. It also attacks 500 species of plants. Investigators are trying to find were all of this started . My opinion is that this is weird and I want to go to Florida to see one of the snails.

Saturn's Ring Produce Rain

Astronomers have found out that Saturn can produce its own rain. They now know were the water came from in their upper atmosphere. A scientist tracked electrically charged water drops from the rings to the planet 120,000 miles below. Scientists think that the rain could have a major impact on the temperature of Saturn's atmosphere. They reckon that the drops are pulled to the planet by its magnetic field. My opinion is that this is very interesting the scientist should do more research about it.

Cowboy Day Announced For USA

The state of Arizona has designed a day to celebrate cowboys and honor the cowboy culture. The Arizona Governor Jan Brewer has signed a form creating this day for both cowboys and cowgirls. The cowboys will be celebrated every fourth Saturday and they say it is not a legel holiday. Arizona becomes the fourth state to celebrate this day joining Mexico, California and Wyoming. My opinion is that this is weird and childish for adults cowboys aren't that cool anymore.

Homework Expectations

Amount We think that 30-45 minutes every weeknight is a reasonable expectation for homework. Per week that equals approximately 2.5 hours per week of homework. 2 terms = 20 weeks. Every homework task should take you 5 hours to do. Quality You need to work on each homework task for at least 2.5 to 5 hours. It should like it was done by a year 8 student. The product you make (if relevant) should look good quality. Fat To Run Power Station

Fat from the sewer is being used to power Britain that sounds really disgusting. A company have made a station to turn fat chunks collected in the sewer into energy. It will have enough energy to power 40,000 homes in east London. The company said that their will be no smoke and no fat smell. London spends more than a million dollars per month to clean out thousands of sewer and drain blockages caused by grease, oil, and fat. My opinion is that they should not use fat to power London because like I said earlier it sounds disgusting.

Cat Beauty Contest

Thousands of cats and their owners have come to Romania for a cat beauty contest. The two-day contest sees 200 beautiful cats from around the world. The Canadian Sphinx cat, known for its ugliness, was well-represented in the contest. This hairless wrinkled cat was from Toronto, Canada. Surprisingly the would cost $5000. It is still unclear from reports who is the most beautiful cat.

World Pillow Fight Day

Thousands of people around the world have celebrated World Pillow Fight Day with swag. This day has been celebrated in Londen, New York, Hong Kong and much more! The oficial day is on 6th of April and the is designed to have fun running around hitting people with a pillow lol. Sadly the Pillow Fight Day only lasts for an hour. There were two rules for this Pillow Fight Day 'no hitting someone with a pair of glasses and no hitting anyone hard.' My opinion is that the World Pillow Fight Day should last longer than an hour.
